GrandTour requires an IBM PC, XT, AT, or compatible computer with 512K
RAM, DOS 2.0 or higher, and CGA, EGA, or Hercules graphics. The program
will run with or without a math coprocessor.
GrandTour is contained on 2 diskettes. The first diskette contains the
program and mission data for Voyager 1 at Jupiter and Voyager 2 at
Neptune. The second diskette contains mission data for Voyager 1 at
Saturn, Voyager 2 at Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus, and Giotto at Halley's
Comet.
Both diskettes are copyrighted. However, diskette #1 is shareware and may
be copied without any restrictions. Diskette #2, on the other hand, may
not be copied, and all copyright rights are reserved. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE
DISKETTE #2, it may be ordered by sending $25 to John D. Callahan, P.O.
Box 1281, LaCanada, CA 91012. The $25 charge includes postage and handling
and any tax.
To run GrandTour, make the default directory the same as the location of
the data for the mission you wish to run. Then execute the GrandTour
program on diskette #1, grndtr.exe. The program will ask you your graphics
device (EGA mode must have 128K on board) and then request a control file.
The control files are given below.
